5 ways to make you cry
Guh. Not superduper comfortable doing this meme anymore. So. Crying. Yay. Uhm... I'm not particularly prone to crying, really. When it does happen it's not at all pretty. It's exhausting and messy, and I turn into a 5-year-old who can't decide if she wants to be hugged or not. So, no, definitely not a weekly, or even monthly event. But here's a list of possible triggers.
1. Let me talk long enough about my experiences as a kid in school.
2. Make me very, very angry.
This, btw, is a pain in the ass. Because when you're in the middle of a fight, and you suddenly lose your ability to say what it is that you want to say and get reduced to a bawling mess... well, that's just not a good way to get your point across. This is one of the reasons I don't like face-to-face arguments. Writing shit down is just a lot.. cleaner.
3. Ask me how my studies are going, and then press the issue when I don't want to talk about it.
4. Movie with a touching ending.
Like, Homeward Bound >.< I don't really cry, but boy oh boy do I tear up. Absolute sucker for the swelling music and the hugs.
5. Writing journal entries where I deal with death.
So far, I think I've done this after most of the deaths that have had an impact on me over the past 7 years. I find that writing about things like that lets me define them in a way that just thinking about them doesn't. Hardly original, I know, but writing here about the things that make me sad has become a big part of how I process stuff.
