5 things you'll never do
They say that you should never say never, and I'm assuming that goes for writing as well. So let's just call this "5 things I'm pretty confident I'll never do"
1. Pierce my tongue.
Just. Ow. It's hot on other people, sure, but... ow.
2. Tell my parents about how I was bullied at school.
I sometimes think I should, because it would probably be cathartic. The fact that I think about it and that it affects me so much, probably means that at least a part of me would want to... But it would hurt them so much to know I was scared and unhappy, and I can't imagine anything worse than my parents thinking they'd failed me.
3. Buy a car that wouldn't fit a big dog in the back.
Not that I'll be buying a car for, give or take, 10 years. The way I live now, I don't really need one. But eventually I probably will, because those things are just... really handy.
4. Write a public journal entry in Swedish.
I've no confidence anymore in my abilities when it comes to this particular language. There was a time when I was indistinguishable from a native speaker, but the older I get, the further I drift. Now just writing an email is the cause of much angst and second guessing. It's not pleasant.
5. Cook a meal that has broccoli as a major ingredient.
Eww, broccoli, eww.
