Feeling all sorts of disoriented. There are so many things to catch up on online, I don't even know where to start. My room is a mess. Most of my clothes are 250 km away, along with my sneakers, leaving me with only sandals and winter boots to wear in autumn weather.
( Italy was amazing. )
A few friends from Hungary are visiting until Tuesday. They arrived while we were still away, and got to spend half their holiday by themselves in our apartment. Because, yes, I will forget I have friends coming over, and take off for Italy two days before. I also forgot to tell our third flatmate that there will be people in the apartment, so when she got back from Iceland, there were strangers in the kitchen.
Proud of myself, I am not. The level un-organized that my life has reached is a little scary. I don't even know where to start untangling it all.
Today is the Orientation party for the new exchange students. I'm blissfully un-involved with the exchange student network this semester, so I plan to mostly just pop in and look at all the new faces, and possibly feel a little old. Most likely me and the Hungarians will spend the evening playing Munchkin and drinking pálinka (rasberry and honey flavour, because evil can often appear sweet). This is not at all a bad thing.
