Actually, if one keeps a steady eye on the Ryanair website, one can buy flights for pretty fantastic prices. (I remember one memorable occasion that I flew to London and back for 50€!) It just takes a bit of patience.
Granted, they don't fly straight to Genova, but they do fly to Milan, which - if I recall correctly, is just a few hours away by train? So all I need is to try and co-ordinate my money/time balance. Or well, money I'll have after christmas, and time I believe I can make, when I need it. So, yeah, coming to see you isn't impossible at all :)
(Mind you, you're always welcome here as well. It's not as cool a place to visit as Italy, but it's not all bad :P)
