January Journal: Day 11 - A Character I'd Like to Meet

If you could meet one character from television, who would you pick and why? matopa

My first thought was "Thor!" but he's definitely a film character. Still, he's both adorable and adorably alien. I think it would make for an entertaining time.

It would be a lot easier to type down a list of characters I decidedly wouldn't like to meet. (The entire cast of Game of Thrones, for example. I love the show, but everyone needs some intensive therapy.) Maybe I'd want to meet someone alien? I'm really fascinated by the "living ship" trope. So maybe Moya from Farscape? Or even the Muntjac in season 3 of the Magicians. Or Delenn in Bablyon 5. She's obviously not a ship, but she is pretty damn cool. With Delenn I'd just like to sit down and have her tell me everything about the Minbari.





In other news, I'm currently on a train to Helsinki. I'm spening the next 24 hours on a ship, attending a folk music festival. In my nerdy, nerdy life, loving folk music is maybe the nerdiest thing about me. I'll try to cobble together an entry about that after the weekend.

Delenn, excellent choice. But pre or post transformation? Perhaps post so she could give you some of the old Minbari philosophy and you could giver her some top tips on navigating being human.

That's a good argument for post-transformation. But I really loved pre-transformation Delenn. I think I may have a had a weird crush, but been too young to acknowledge it at the time. She looked cool. (I will now decidedly *not* do a google image search. Because there's no way Delenn actuallu looked as cool as my 90's kid brain interpreted her as.)

It would difficult to pick a TV character or a film character. Could I have a dinner party and invite a dozen of them? :D

I hope you enjoy the folk festival on a boat. That just seems right somehow. :D
