Well, yes, that's a way of putting it XD But anecdotes have that nice rounded quality. They start with "this one time" or "I heard that" and then it ends when you've finished telling it. (And people look at you sort of awkwardly and hurry to change the subject.) Not knowing when to shut up, well, that's just me volunteering random information on my theories/thoughts/dislikes/likes to someone who (bless them) hadn't asked for it.
