Re: making DW work better for mobile. I suggest choosing the Mobility theme for your journal style. It was designed specifically for mobile, so it scales well on smartphones and tablets. And like all DW themes it's easily customisable. You can see it in action on my journal.
LJ has implemented a like function some time ago. I don't care for it. I'd rather not get a comment than get a like. It doesn't tell me much. But I know I am in the minority.
